I’ve always had a soft spot for Misty. She’s my weakness. This sprite actually became a little hard to work on after awhile. Certain details were distracting me. Those mighty orbs are just too powerful!

I think I set a personal record with this sprite. My frankenstein reference material for this one was pieced together from 8 different pictures. Then I vector-traced the shapes and detailed the sprite by hand.

It kinda makes you wonder, how derivitive does something have to be before it starts becoming “original art?” That’s a matter of opinion of course. But geez… the lengths I go to avoid just picking up a pencil.
