There are many characters I like seeing pictures of, but never draw for some reason. So I decided to draw Alice in Wonderland. It seemed like I might be able to do something fun with this scene.

When I made my planning sketch, I kind of over-planned things and tried to figure out her full pose and how the house might come apart to accommodate her size, somehow never realizing I had actually drawn her too large.

The rest of the process was the same as usual. Ink over the sketch with Paint Tool Sai, scale that down, trace over it with Aseprite, manually anti-alias the lines, then color it with photoshop. I also added cel shading. The original movie somehow got away without that, but I think my sprites look incomplete without shading.
