By now you already know the rest of my process. To save time I reused the real-time shading layers from
another renamon pic
.

Well I did at first… but the proportions were bugging me. Her torso was too big and/or her hips were too small.
#
So I decided to scale-up the vector outlines to increase the size of her hips and then completely re-do the shading. I switched from using real-time Photoshop dithering to exporting each color area and crunching down their colors in Pixelover.

I left like this picture deserved more care than a quick-and-dirty shading job. And I only added about 7 more colors in the end, going from 16 to 23.
